Hello! It’s nice to be back. It was necessary for me to take a vacation from blogging for awhile. Life was spinning fast around me, and I wanted to be in it, not writing about it.
The short version of my spring/early summer:
- I learned my job was being eliminated. My last days would be in June.
- My car broke down on the highway one day on my way home from work and was swiftly pronounced dead.
- The two items above fueled a job search in places where I would not need a car.
- I got a job in New York City! It starts in September!
- I finished working in late June, and have been relaxing, exercising often, and trying not to spend money.
- I found a steal of a deal on an apartment in sunny Brooklyn!
And you’re up to speed.
We move to Brooklyn on August 1st, and the packing has not begun. It will. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe I’ll say that again tomorrow.
In the meantime, I’m doing my best to enjoy the people and things I love on the North Shore and in Boston. The following are shots from a trip to Halibut Point in Rockport, MA.
