Spring Has Sprung, And Off I Go!

I know I haven’t been the most present blogger lately. Things at The Choice Effect have been busy. It used to be hard enough for me to post weekly on Reasonably So, but now that I’m writing weekly for someone else, it’s even harder. I’m here to let you know that now that I’m starting to get in the groove, I’ll be writing more here. It’s different, of course. Different audience, different material.

We visited Alex’s parents this weekend in Massachusetts. His mom told me they’ve got a tradition on the first day of spring (which was Saturday!) that they buy a toy or game or anything to use outside and they go to Dairy Queen. We didn’t end up making it to Dairy Queen, but we DO have plans to get a bocce set.

Last summer, a friend opened my eyes to the amazing game of bocce. It’s the perfect lawn game… active enough to keep you entertained, but not so much that you can still hold on to your beer while playing. I can’t wait til we have our own set to take to the park to play. We’re even entertaining the idea of putting a strip of astroturf on the roof so we can play at home. Rooftop bocce and dinner parties. Mmmmm. Dreams of summer are floating in my head.

Tomorrow, I depart on a journey to San Francisco! It’ll be my first visit (coincidentally to the person who introduced bocce to me!), and I plan to take lots of photographs to bring back to you. Spring break is a glorious thing, and I am ever so lucky to have it!

Happy Spring, readers!
