Beautiful Big Sur

We recently attended a wedding in Big Sur which provided the perfect opportunity for a weekend trip. It was a lunch wedding, so we drove down Saturday for it, and then explored some driveable areas on Saturday. McWay Falls and Pfeiffer Beach are pretty easy to access and insanely beautiful. We  stayed the night in a lovely cottage in Carmel, and then hiked in Andrew Molera State Park on Sunday.

Big Sur is unrealistically beautiful. Perhaps some people are used to it… I am not. It’s astounding. Here’s my mix of Instagram shots and a few real camera shots. Neither words nor pictures can quite capture its majesty.
