This city cleans up well for the holidays.

Watching little ones learn can be so beautiful. I can’t post pictures of faces at all, but sometimes the way their hands look in photographs is even more fascinating.

These photographs are from a field trip we took to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx.

The education program at the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden is incredibly rich. These photos are of the children planting Indian corn.

Seeing these NYC kids getting their hands in the dirt, digging for worms, watering vegetable beds, and inspecting broccoli growing from the ground was awesome. These are opportunities they don’t get very often. Sometimes Central Park is just not enough.
